Fees

At the outset, you will be explained all aspects of your fees and potential expenses in order to avoid any misunderstandings. You will be quoted fees that we believe are reasonable and reasonably related to the amount of legal work expected to be devoted to your case(s) and the firm’s legal expertise. Generally, fees for Personal Injury cases are on a contingent basis (dependent on the amount of your recovery). Fees are based upon a percentage of your recovery plus necessary litigation expenses. Generally, fees range between 33% and 40%. Generally, no payment is required “up front”.

Fees on criminal, divorce and child custody cases vary widely depending on the type of case and how much time will likely be involved in the representation. Generally, the client pays an initial fee based on the likely minimum time that is expected for the representation. This initial fee is paid at the initiation of the representation. Additional fees may be required in the event that the time in representation exceeds the amount of time initially estimated.
